About Kasabian

 Tom Meighan founded in 1999 with Sergio Pizzorno, Ash Hannis and Chris Edwards, the original form of the band. Later joined then guitarist Christopher Karloff after a visit to a pub band.
Its name derives from the band an article about the mass murderer Charles Manson: The woman who flee the car of the Manson Family murder after the attacks on the Tate / Polanski drove property-said Linda Kasabian, due to Armenian or Persian "butcher" means .

Compared was the band due to the combination of electronic and more rock independent music, with Primal Scream, but also with the Stone Roses and Oasis, which is more on the public appearance of the band involved.
Their influences are far reaching, from the Rolling Stones over the Beatles and The Doors, to Motown, hip-hop, the Ravesound of the late 80s and early 90s and Britpop. But the early Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Joy Division or Air characterize the band. Their sound is much more electronic than the other new British bands like Franz Ferdinand or Bloc Party: fragments from the entire history of rock are cleverly put together.

2004, their debut self, which the critics will be positively received. 2004 and 2005 appeared several single. The single Club Foot is the most famous song of the band. In the summer of 2005 released the live album Live at Brixton Academy, which the band exclusively via download shops sells.

In the summer rises Chris Karloff due to musical differences. However, he was still significant at the emergence of a few songs from the second album involved.
